Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information— such as your email address, display name, and profile details. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google to create and identify your account.
• Content you create— messages in channels and direct messages, the servers and spaces you create or join, and files you upload such as avatars and message or DM attachments.
• Usage, session, and security data — information about your sign-ins and sessions, including IP address and approximate location, device or browser details, and timestamps. We use this to keep accounts secure and to detect and prevent abuse.
• Cookies and local storage — used to keep you signed in and to remember essential preferences. If you enable web push notifications, we store the push subscription needed to deliver them.

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• deliver messages, voice sessions, file uploads, and notifications;
• authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent fraud and abuse;
• enable moderation and enforce our Terms of Service, including reviewing sessions and locations for security when needed;
• respond to your requests and communicate with you about the Service.

If you allow notifications, we use the Web Push standard (with VAPID keys) to send messages to your browser or device. We store the push subscription associated with your account for this purpose. You can turn notifications off at any time in your browser or device settings.

We rely on a small number of third-party processors to run Droksid. They only handle data as needed to provide their service to us:

• Supabase— authentication, database, and file storage for your account, content, and uploads.
• Google— optional Google OAuth sign-in.
• LiveKit— real-time voice infrastructure.
• Vercel— hosting and delivery of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Droksid and its users.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Content you delete, and your account data if you delete your account, is removed from our active systems, though residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period or where retention is required by law. Security and session logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for security purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your profile directly in the app, and you can request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us at support@droksid.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Droksid is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls for administrators. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond appropriately if an incident occurs.

Our service providers may process and store data in countries other than the one you live in. Where information is transferred across borders, we rely on our providers’ safeguards designed to protect your information consistent with applicable data-protection laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
